Appointment: Heli Nykänen as Senior Advisor in the Invest in team 1.2.2026

Heli Nykänen will join Cursor’s Invest in team as Senior Advisor on 1 February 2026. She joins us from Ahlstrom, where she has held several demanding investment and development positions both in Finland and internationally.

Nykänen has nearly 25 years of experience in the international manufacturing industry and in managing investment projects around the world. She has been involved in major projects in China, the US and Europe, from site identification to negotiations, design, procurement, contract and project management, construction, logistics, installation and commissioning.

In her most recent role, Nykänen was responsible for Ahlstrom’s Group Capex portfolio, Capex management processes and the integration of ESG and safety considerations into investments. She is known for her strong project expertise, collaborative skills and ability to drive the success of cross-functional teams.

It is great to have someone like her join us to strengthen our Invest in activities in the region,” says Jukka Tani, Cursor’s incoming Invest in Director, who will transition from his role as Senior Advisor at the turn of the year.
