A local plan is currently being prepared for the Hurpu tourism services area located on the edge of the Eastern Gulf of Finland National Park. Less than 100 ha in size, the aim is to make the area an attractive, high-class, versatile and year-round tourist destination that meets the needs of international tourism and local recreational use.
The design work takes into account the area’s value for nature tourism and its historical values, as well as the tourism and boating based on the Gulf of Finland National Park. The Hurpu tourism area is known among thousands of bird watchers/nature tourists, especially for the Arktika Days event organised in the area.
